Haalaribileet

The Haalaribileet (Overall Parties) have their roots in the original Poikkarit events. These interdisciplinary parties brought together students from different guilds in the style of fun bar nights. After the COVID years, Poikkarit were rebranded as Haalaribileet, which also marked the arrival of our beloved Kampuskettu (Campus Fox) into our midst. 

There are four Haalaribileet events during the academic year - typically two in the autumn and two in the spring. On the night of a Haalaribileet event, students from all fields gather at the student bar to enjoy the atmosphere and watch fantastic performers. Haalaribileet are one of the only student bar events that always feature a live performer. Past performers have included Isac Elliot, Etta, Ahti, and Jambo. Every event also features a fun theme that everyone dresses up for. Themes have included Temptation Gemmi, Casino, Spring Fever, and To the Southern Heat. 

The events are also unique thanks to their overall patches. Each patch is triangle-shaped, and collecting all four throughout the year forms a larger triangle. The color theme also changes each year. That’s why it’s important to attend all four events to complete your patch pattern!
