NESU-Enklaavi.

NESU-Enklaavi is the local branch of NESU (Nordiska Ekonomie Studerandes Union), the Nordic business students’ union. We host sitsit, academic dinner parties, in Lappeenranta and now in Lahti too, and every one has its own theme. Anyone can join in, and you don’t need to be on the board to be a member.

Sitsit

The themes change every time, and they’re revealed on Instagram.

Fresher sitsit

The opening of the autumn sitz season for the new kuuttis and everyone else. The kuuttis throwing themselves into the theme is the best part.

Annual ball sitsit

The opening of Enklaavi’s annual ball week. Buddy sitsit, so your +1 can be anyone, also from outside Enklaavi. The theme often comes with awards too.

Spring brings more sitsit with themes of their own, and at the season’s last NESU sitsit, guilds from across the LUT and LAB community share the tables.

A new chapterIn autumn 2026 NESU-Enklaavi started up in Lahti too. The first sitsit filled the tables with locals and students who came by bus from Lappeenranta.

NordicNordiska Ekonomie Studerandes Union was founded in the 1950s to bring business students across the Nordics together. Today it’s most active in Finland, with some activity in Estonia, Denmark and Sweden.
MembershipEvery Nordic business student is automatically a NESU member. No fees, no sign-up sheets.
LocallyEvery business school city has its own NESU group. In Lappeenranta and Lahti, that’s us: NESU-Enklaavi.

Visiting other cities

There are NESU sitsit every month in other business school cities too: Turku, Vaasa, Jyväskylä, Pori and more. The opportunities and ticket links are in NESU-Enklaavi’s Telegram.

Conference

NESU’s main event: every spring and autumn, a week-long conference in a Nordic university city. Each one has its own business theme with company visits, lectures and workshops, and sitsit in the evenings. In autumn 2025 the conference came to Lappeenranta with the theme “AI: The Next Great Leap”.

Excursion

NESU’s trip abroad, open to any Nordic business student. In 2026 it went to Edinburgh on 9–14 Sept for museums, a company visit and of course a sitz. The price covers accommodation and the programme. Applications for the next one open in spring 2027.

Easy evenings

Sewing nights, movie nights and other easy hangouts, often with Enklaavi Sport and Kylli.
