What is Enklaavi?

The board

Services, events and a link to working life, by members for members.

An enclave is a territory entirely surrounded by another. LUT University sits in Skinnarila, a district students call the Free State of Skinnarila, and business students in a university of technology are an enclave of their own. Hence the name.

Enklaavi provides services that support its members and their studies, and runs events of every kind, from sports to gala evenings. Company visits, or excursions, are a core part of what we do: we want our members to get a real feel for working life. All these years, our activity has rested on excellent relations with the university’s business school and South Karelian businesses.

The engine of it all is our active membership, the committees and the board.

Committees

The committees work together with the board, and their members get a close say in what Enklaavi does. Committee chairs sit on the board, so cooperation is seamless.
